The Haudenosaunee are the founders of the original game of dehontsigwaehs (Dey-hoon-chee-gwa-ehs), translation "they bump hips".
As an IIJL Founding Member Nation, operated by Gewas Schindler, Haudenosaunee (formerly known as Iroquois) compete at each and every IIJL Event, including but not limited to the World Junior Lacrosse Championship, World U17 Lacrosse Championship, and World U15 Lacrosse Championship. In preparation for IIJL events being held in 2021, Haudenosaunee will be holding combines over multiple weekends - dates and locations to be announced.
Haudenosaunee is accepting interest to participate (complete the form below) from any and all eligible players ages fifteen (15) to twenty (20) who are interested in competing at any or all of the combine sessions.
To be eligible for the 2021 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Winnipeg, MB, players must be born on or between January 1, 2001 – December 31, 2005. Therefore, a player must not be or be turning twenty one (21) years of age in 2021. Interested players must be a member of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy; Cayuga, Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Seneca, Tuscarora.
